Waratah Eco Works (WEW) conducts bushland rehabilitation on various sites, across the greater Sydney region, with contracts for North Sydney, Mosman, Willoughby, Northern Beaches, Hunters Hill, Ku-ring-gai and Blacktown Councils and the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust. The work involves a range of activities including: bush regeneration, bush rehabilitation, revegetation activities, creek armouring, track construction and maintenance, use of machinery (chainsaws, brush cutters).

Waratah Eco Works has a fantastic opportunity for an Operations Assistant to join our friendly team. The Operations Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the scheduling of work for our bush regeneration staff and for the preparation of client monthly reports as well as other administrative duties. The position will report to the Accounts Manager and work collaboratively with the Management Team

Specific duties:

  • Preparing fortnightly work rosters in collaboration with the Accounts Manager and communicating roster information to staff and clients
  • Preparing hours for payroll- collecting Daily Site Reports (DSR), collating staff payroll hours for Accounts Manager
  • Preparing monthly client reports from DSRs to accompany invoicing
  • Co-ordinating and collating annual reports in collaboration with the supervisors
  • Other administrative duties include- recruitment of new staff, issuing employment contracts, updating WHS information and organising staff training

Essential Requirements:

  • Must be proficient in MS Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Systems orientated with excellent attention to detail

Desirable

  • Understanding of bush regeneration an advantage
  • 2 years experience in similar role

Place of work:

The depot office is at Ingleside
Some training expected to occur remotely
Flexibility with some working from home, to be agreed .

Base hours- 9- 3pm Monday to Friday
