With a rich history of environmental stewardship, the formation of a dedicated New South Wales branch of AABR promises to amplify our efforts, build stronger communities, and create lasting change across the state.

Building a new branch might seem daunting, but much of the groundwork is already in place. We’re not starting from scratch—we’re building on decades of collective experience and success.

The proposed New South Wales branch will play a crucial role in liaising with local and state governments, securing grants, and leading localized projects that resonate with the unique environmental challenges of our region.

Branch activities can include

• Hosting Walk and Talk events, where members can engage in hands-on learning and share knowledge about bush regeneration techniques. These events will be more than just educational—they’ll foster social connections and create a sense of community among members.
• Holding physical and online meetings* to discuss new initiatives, project proposals, and ongoing collaboration opportunities.
• Launching targeted awareness-raising campaigns to increase membership and participation across the state.

Collaboration is key to our success. We’ve already begun conversations with state-based environmental NGOs. Together, we’ll focus on securing the necessary grants and building social capital to ensure our branch is not only sustainable but thriving.
