AABR Acknowledges the Worimi people upon whose land we will be walking and talking.

Seal Rocks Walk & Talk August 10

Join us for an illuminating and informative Walk & Talk where you’ll discover what makes a rainforest special, focusing on our unique local littoral rainforest. Despite its history of disturbances, ongoing restoration efforts funded by the National Parks and Wildlife Service are helping it bounce back. We’ll give you a snapshot of these restoration projects, highlighting the key features of littoral rainforests and how they influence the restoration process.

We’ll dive into restoration practices, explaining how littoral rainforests function and the important roles of light availability and salty winds in plant growth and restoration efforts.

Bring your lunch, and let’s enjoy a beach picnic together! If you’re up for it, we can spend the afternoon exploring the forest more casually.
