Project Description

Landcare volunteers play an important role in the area of seed collection and propagation in patches of remnant bush throughout Greater Sydney. This presentation will provide a snapshot of volunteers doing their bit in the space and will cover the key opportunities and challenges facing these groups.
Maree Whelan is a Senior Land Services Officer who works in the Wyong office of Greater Sydney Local Land Services. Maree works in the areas of engagement, education and practice change with a particular interest in ‘rural lifestyle landholders’, Landcare volunteers and their networks.
